Russian state news has reported that an enormous fire has broken out at a warehouse near Vladimir Putin’s official residence.
The warehouse is located in Odintsovo, between the Russian president’s home at Novo-Ogaryovo and the Vnukovo Airport.
Citing an emergency service statement, TASS news agency said the fire covered 2,000 square meters at midnight Moscow time. There was no indication of how the blaze started at the building, which is around 4 miles south of the official residence.significant explosionTwo drones were brought down in the Russian capital on Wednesday night, with one starting a large fire at a car repair business.
The Kremlin’s defence ministry blamed Ukraine for the drones, saying: ‘Last night attempts by the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles were foiled over the territory of Kaluga and Moscow regions, as well as Sevastopol.’On Tuesday night, a powerful explosion in the city of Sergiev Posad left at least 56 people injured.
Footage shared online showed thick plumes of smoke billowing from the Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant, which reportedly produces equipment for the military like night-vision goggles.
