J. Brown?“I understand that there’s interest in the A.J. Brown story,” Roseman said at the NFL’s annual meetings on Sunday evening. “Unfortunately, I don’t have a home under a rock. But my answer to any question on A.J. Brown is that A.J. Brown is a member of the Eagles. “From my perspective, anything you ask me about A.J. Brown, I’m going to go right back to that answer. But I understand the interest. I put on TV and I see that there’s interest. But my answer is A.J. Brown is a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.” That, of course, is true. A.J. Brown is a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. But that doesn’t answer the real question: Will he be a member of the Eagles for the 2026 season? The reporting and subsequent speculation about Brown’s future has been unavoidable this offseason and it’s a story that doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon, especially because the salary cap implications of a potential trade change drastically after June 1. Brown, 28, just finished up his fourth season with the Eagles and even though he went over 1,000 yards again, he was frustrated throughout the 2025 season. Some will read Roseman’s remarks and see it as a sign that Brown will indeed be back in Philadelphia for the 2026 season. Others will read those remarks and point out that Roseman didn’t definitively say he isn’t going to trade the superstar wide receiver.But with there seemingly being some uncertainty about Brown’s future with the team, does it make it any more difficult for Roseman to construct a roster? “Roster construction from a macro perspective is going to be based on a vision,” Roseman said. “That vision doesn’t change by one particular player.” Earlier this offseason, the Eagles signed receiver Elijah Moore, who is extremely close to Brown. The two were college teammates and roommates at Ole Miss and consider each other family. So it was natural that when the Eagles signed Moore, some wondered if it had any bearing on the situation with Brown.“Everything that we’re doing is based on the particulars of the players,” he said. “Nothing we’re doing to do favors … We’re players based on what they can bring to the team.” For now, the Eagles have a really solid receiver room with A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Hollywood Brown, Moore, Darius Cooper, Johnny Wilson and Britain Covey. Of course, that room would look much different if Brown isn’t on the roster in Week 1. But as Roseman would tell you, me or anyone else who asks: “A.J. Brown is a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.”
