Are trams running and which stop to get on and off at if you are going to Parklife Festival
This time tomorrow, tens of thousands of people will be filing through the gates of Heaton Park as the annual Parklife Festival gets underway. The event, which takes place on June 8 and 9, is the UK's largest metropolitan festival and welcomes up to 80,000 a day.
Heaton Park is around three miles away from the city centre and people heading there have a few options - from shuttle bus to walking and getting the tram to getting dropped off. You can travel on the tram from any of the city centre stops to Heaton Park/Bowker Vale. Zone 1 stops include: Cornbrook, Deansgate-Castlefield, Exchange Square, Market Street, New Islington, Piccadilly, Piccadilly Gardens, Shudehill, St Peter’s Square and Victoria.
These trams operate from Altrincham and Piccadilly. They can be boarded in the city centre at Cornbrook, Deansgate-Castlfield, St Peter's Square, Piccadilly Station, Piccadilly Gardens, Market Street, Shudehill and Vicotria Station.
