South Texas temperatures Thursday morning would be the lowest they've been in nearly six months, but the chilly weather won't last long.
This is exactly what we’ve been waiting for over the past few sweltering months — a chilly morning in South Texas worthy of a jacket or hoodie. Here in San Antonio, low temperatures are expected to fall into the low to mid-50s between 5 and 8 a.m. today. That’s the coldest it’s been since April 22, nearly six months ago. Many areas to the north of San Antonio will be even colder.
Friday and the weekend Another cool morning is expected on Friday, albeit not as chilly as it was on Thursday. San Antonio will drop into the upper 50s while Hill Country towns will start the day in the mid-50s. The warming trend will continue into the afternoon as temperatures reach 81-83 degrees in the metro area. Atmospheric moisture levels will also start to increase, resulting in partly to mostly cloudy skies throughout the day.
