Kel Mabatah was told he would never walk or talk again after a traumatic brain injury due to being attacked while visiting family in Nigeria.
At least none perhaps more resilient and ready than Kel Mabatah.
We're trying out a new "F-word" we don't normally say on the show: fat. A lot of us were taught it's not a nice word to use. But social media influencer Jessamyn Stanley says she's cool with it. A couple of years ago, his doctors proposed to him a new challenge. "They convinced me that I could do bodybuilding because they knew how competitive I was. They knew I was still taking care of my body," Mabatah says.
The fact he's competing in a premier bodybuilding show might be nothing short of a miracle. His remarkable progress surprised everyone. He's an inspiration, even to his trainer.
