in connection with the unauthorized euthanization of nearly 40 animals, now is working for the Houston Humane Society.confirmed Don Specks began working as an adoption manager in October, according to Samantha Desmond, a spokeswoman for the organization.Houston's overrun BARC animal shelter is euthanizing more animals due to a major drop in adoptions

Five of those employees were fired, but Specks resigned before administrators could fire him, according to Doug Adolph, a spokesman for the city. The investigation began after an employee Sept. 15 notified senior management about the killings, according to the city.
