Kirkland−better known as “TK”−has a history with Houston Academy that spans 19 years.

He led the junior varsity baseball team for seven seasons before being named the head varsity baseball coach. Coach TK held the title for 12 years, guiding the Raiders to victory with a Class 2A Baseball State Championship in 2014 and again in 2023 with a Class 3A Baseball State Championship. According to Athletics Director Jerry Browning, TK will serve as head coach while Houston Academy continues their search for a more permanent replacement.and receive the latest local news and weather straight to your email every morning.
