The blaze was called into the Santa Clara County Fire Department around 1 p.m., reporting flames coming from a room in the house, said Andrew Kim, chief of Battalion 74. Shortly after crews arrived on the scene and confirmed the blaze, the response was upgraded to a second alarm, Kim said. The response was expected to continue for several hours Sunday afternoon as firefighters complete overhaul.
