So we’re going to provide, as the mayor said, public safety to all that are in Hoover,” Morris said.“We have more pressing issues in Hoover that affect our crime rate than immigration status right now,” Morris said. “We have an obligation, by state statute, to check their status. We don’t have a choice, that is, if they are arrested and taken to jail.
