Perinton, N.Y. A local musical festival is returning this summer for a third year.
Organizers say the three-day event will feature live music, food, whiskey tastings, craft beverages, and American craftsmanship. They say the move reflects the festival’s continued growth and an opportunity to expand the experience in a larger setting while strengthening its relationship with local businesses.
“I think that there’s just a natural symbiotic relationship in any community when you bring in thousands of people that wouldn’t be here otherwise, whether it’s packing the hotels, but also collaborations with restaurants, bars, everything, it just feels easier for us to collaborate with all the businesses, restaurants, bars that we love to help us grow the festival, but also the more beneficial it is for them, the better it is everybody to add that,” said Sean McCarthy, the co-owner of the Hoochenanny Festival. The festival returns on Aug. 14 through Sunday, Aug. 16.
