The shooting happened around 4:50 p.m. Sunday in the 5700 block of West Ray Street, near West Washington Street and I-465.
INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is conducting a homicide investigation after finding a man who had been shot Sunday afternoon on the southwest side of Indianapolis.When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, but police said he later died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. IMPD said they were calling the incident a death investigation and working to learn more about what led up to the shooting. In an update Monday morning, an IMPD spokesperson said it was now a homicide investigation and no arrest has been made.
