Harry Potter fans can take their first steps at Hogwarts in less than a month
With less than a month until its release, the cast for video game Hogwarts Legacy has finally been revealed. What looks set to be one of the biggest games of the year launches on February 10, and its developer Avalanche Software has confirmed Hollywood star Simon Pegg will provide the voice for Hogwarts’ headmaster.
Mission Impossible star Pegg is confirmed to be voicing Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black, who is Sirius Black’s great-great-grandfather. Phineas had a brief appearance in the films as a portrait hanging in Professor Dumbledore’s office, but this is the first time fans will really get to know the “the least popular headmaster in the history of Hogwarts.
Reflecting on his debut in the franchise, Pegg said he is “extremely excited to be a part of the Harry Potter universe.”“I watched all those movies and always expected a role. Virtually every British actor has been in the Wizarding World films apart from me. And so, to get the role of one of the Black family, that’s a cool thing because Sirius was always my favorite character in the books.
