Moffat Mountain Rescue were called to the Annandale Way to assist the injured man
A hill walker has been rushed to hospital after suffering an injury on a popular Dumfries and Galloway trail.The casualty was located using ‘Phone Find’ technology and was given pain relief before being stretchered to a waiting ambulance and taken to hospital. Their condition is currently unknown.
A spokesperson for Moffat Mountain Rescue said: "At 17:10 on Monday 15th May Moffat MRT were asked by Police Scotland to assist in the recovery of an injured walker along the Annandale Way. "The walker was assessed, pain relief administered and safely packaged into a stretcher before being carried from the hillside. The team was met by the Scottish Ambulance Service who took the casualty on to the hospital."
