Christian Burks will be sentenced by Judge Joan Synenberg on March 22.
Burks pleaded guilty to four counts of rape, three counts of kidnapping, one count of abduction, theft and aggravated theft.
On May 24, 2020, a 23-year-old woman and her male friend ordered an Uber outside a bar on W. 6th Street near Johnson Court.Burks allegedly drove them to a gas station on Lorain Avenue on Fulton Road, and when the man exited to purchase water, Burks drove away with the victim and stole her credit cards, which he allegedly used to make several purchases.
The victim tried to get out of his car near the Eddy Road exit ramp by I-90, but he allegedly grabbed her by the neck and dragged her back into his car.
