Timothy Williams, 31, of Akron, was sentenced Tuesday to at least 20 years in prison. AKRON, Ohio — An Akron man who pleaded guilty to multiple charges for the sexual assault of a woman in Barberton was sentenced Tuesday to at least 20 years in prison.

Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Alison McCarty sentenced Timothy Williams, 31, to 20 to 25.5 years in prison on charges of attempted rape, kidnapping with repeat offender and sexual motivation specifications, and aggravated robbery with a repeat violent offender specification. Williams had pleaded guilty moments before his sentencing.
