'We're working on bringing an exciting Christmas event to Lancaster this December'
The organisers of the annual Highest Point festival have announced they will host an all new Christmas event.
The festive spectacular will take place over two days at Lancaster's Williamson Park - the same venue where the music festival is held each year. So far, details have been kept minimal but the organisers have promised to bring "arts, crafts, singing, dancing and all things Christmas". Tickets are not yet on sale but will cover four hour slots, with morning and afternoon sessions available for each of December 16 and 17. News of the event was first teased in a Facebook post last month. It said: "We're working on bringing an exciting Christmas event to Lancaster this December and we're looking for makers and creators to get involved." That related to stall holders covering "creators, artisan crafts, local food and drink, gifts, trinkets and more".
A promo for the event states: "The Big Christmas Day Out is an all inclusive morning or afternoon of arts, crafts, singing, dancing and all things Christmas in Williamson Park, Lancaster."
