Students at Elmore County High School see their hard work come to life Tuesday.

) - Students at Elmore County High School see their hard work come to life Tuesday. They’ve been learning what it takes to pull together a concert production from the ground up, sell tickets, and make a profit.

That concert takes the stage Tuesday afternoon. The production is part of an educational program called the Reach and Teach program. The idea is to give students an education through experience. Students at ECHS planned, promoted, and now will execute a real concert on their school campus. 80s rock cover band, The Velcro Pygmies, will be performing at the school.Over the last few months, the students have been working through the program to set goals, analyze target market, maintain an event budget, and develop sponsorship packages. It’s all part of the Reach and Teach program’s design to teach these students lessons in budgeting, logistics, marketing and much more.
