Seven starters return on an offense that averaged 39.2 points a game last year, second best in Class 7A, and six starters are back on defense for Dothan.
DAVID MUNDEE After two successful eight-win seasons and playoff appearances, Dothan head football coach Jed Kennedy is ready to see the Wolves take another step this season in his third year with the program — a region title and a deep playoff run.

AJ Alexander, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound junior, is the featured back in the offense after sharing the load last year with Tamarion Peterson, who is now at Benedict College. Alexander led the Wolves in rushing last year, amassing 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns on 134 carries. Outside at wide receiver, the Wolves return Jaden Barnes, a 6-foot-180-pound senior who committed last month to play college ball at the University of North Alabama. A year ago, Barnes caught three touchdowns passes, rushed for three TDs and threw for another score.
