Storm systems that hit the Bay Area are often centered over the North Bay, but Roger Gass of the National Weather Service said this rainmaker was focused over the Santa Cruz Mountains and southward. "It doesn't mean the North Bay didn't get any good rain, they still go lots," Gass said."But some of the mountains along the Big Sur coast had upward of 9 inches of rain."
Urban areas across the Bay Area generally saw about 1 to 2 inches of precipitation, while the coastal mountains measured up to 6 inches, Gass said.-Downtown San Francisco: 1.35 inches-Santa Rosa Airport: 1.53 inchesGass said conditions will quickly dry up Tuesday morning and the week is expected to be mostly dry and chilly with below normal temperatures.
