Directed by Chad Stahelski, of John Wick fame, the film is a reboot of the fantasy action franchise that originally starred Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, Clancy Brown and Roxanne Hart. Cavill will star as Connor MacLeod , an immortal Scottish warrior who is tasked with confronting his arch-rival in modern-day New York. Cavill took to Instagram to share a first look at the highly anticipated reboot of Highlander. One of the photos shows the actor wearing a trench coat with an exhausted expression on his face. The second image pulls back the metaphorical curtain by revealing a mic above Cavill as he films a scene while holding a sheathed sword. In his Instagram caption, Cavill admitted that filming this movie has been"quite the journey for me," which he plans to open up about in the future. For now, though, he wanted to share what turned out to be a"special moment" in his life."I hope you enjoy," Cavill told his fans.
