Forecasters predict record-breaking temperatures in certain parts of the UK
With summer well and truly underway, temperatures across the UK are set to continue to rise, with some forecasters predicting that Brits will see record-breaking weather in coming days.
But it turns out that there’s some simple changes that people can make to help keep their homes as cool as possible in the sweltering temperatures, including one surprising tip that uses a fan and an ice pack. Elsewhere, another tip to keep homes cool during warm weather is to open windows whenever it is colder outside than it is inside.
“Keep rooms cool by using shades or reflective material outside the windows. If this isn’t possible, use light-coloured curtains and keep them closed .”
