In the original films, Riddle’s desire for the Defense Against the Dark Arts position and subsequent curse of the role was left out entirely, butwill have a lot more run-time to play with. So, as part of the expanded Voldemort backstory we’re likely to get, including his invesitation of his Gaunt bloodline, we could see an adult Riddle at the start of his transformation into the Dark Lord heading back to Hogwarts to ask for the job., Hero Fiennes Tiffin will be well into his 30s and could very reasonably convince as the grown Tom Riddle.
