Police say an 11-year-old, a 13-year-old and a 3-year-old were struck by gunfire in a Harrisburg shooting on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Adams County District Attorney's Office, Michael Ohler, 36, was sentenced to 11 to 24 years in State Prison. On March 27, he entered open pleas to two counts of strangulation, two counts of simple assault, three counts of simple assault and three counts of terroristic threats. After several continuances, the Commonwealth was able to get a Bench Warrant for Ohler's arrest on Oct. 24. On Oct. 25, Ohler was discharged and fled the hospital before he was secured. Following a pursuit, Ohler ultimately turned himself in to the Gettysburg Borough Police Department that evening but had to be taken to the hospital for another"medical emergency."

He received treatment and was transported to Adams County Prison for sentencing. His treating physician indicated that Ohler's"medical" emergency was self-induced by consuming edibles, according to the Adams County District Attorney's Office. At sentencing on Oct, 31, a number of victim impact statements were read and Ohler was delivered his sentence of up to 24 years in jail.
