Lewis Smith says analysis of Inverness predicted a route to goal that he exploited
Local hero Lewis Smith says homework paid off as his sensational strike sent Hamilton Accies on their way back to the Championship.
Delighted Smith, 24, then watched O’Hara complete his double from the spot in 41 minutes, adding to his eighth-minute strike, to put Hamilton 3-1 ahead. “I’m absolutely buzzing. I’ve always said I’d like to score more, and in the last few weeks those goals have come at important times – and eight goals isn’t bad!”
“It meant so much. The start we had, in the first five minutes we knew Inverness were going to come right at us, but thankfully we managed to weather the storm.“We knew at that point that it was going to be enough to see us up.”
