Oprah Introduces the Oprah Daily Menopause Handbook
Halle Berry opened up about menopause brain fog. She also shared a book recommendation, The Menopause Brain, which dives into the science behind the symptom.“Knowledge is power. Get into it!” she wrote. Halle Berry has been open about her plans to challenge everything she knows about menopause, which, to begin with, wasn’t a lot. That’s why she’s empowering herself and women everywhere to do their own research on the transition.
In the book, author and neuroscientist Mosconi notes that more than 60% of women have brain fog—difficulty concentrating, trouble remembering numbers and words—at some point during perimenopause or menopause. It’s largely due to the loss of estrogen that happens during the transition, she explains, as well as the other symptoms that occur because of it , all of which also impact the brain.
