Angry Erling Haaland shoves Dan Burn and sparks Man City vs Newcastle brawl MCFC MCINEW
Erling Haaland let his temper get the better of him as he ran to defend Man City teammate Jack Grealish against Newcastle.being just one battle in the feisty affair at the Etihad Stadium.Man City had gone 2-0 up in the second-half as substitute Bernardo Silva doubled the home side’s advantage following Phil Foden’s first-half opener.to ultimately go another game without scoring, and Dan Burn’s challenge on Grealish summed up his side’s mood.
The Newcastle defender fouled the Man City winger as he looked to burst forward, leading to a brawl that erupted between those around the challenge.Then, out of nowhere, Haaland came steaming over to shove Burn, visibly furious with the tackle on his teammate who was still rolling around on the floor.
The Magpies star then pulled the Man City striker’s shirt in response, before the pair were pulled apart by their fellow players.
“The referee has got to sort out what is a ten or 15-man melee now on the edge of the box – they’re all coming together, pushing and shoving. “Erling Haaland has come steaming in and is now smiling in the face of Dan Burn, Joelinton has got involved and he’s got to be very careful [he’d already been booked].“We’re watching a slow-mo replay of Dan Burn grabbing Erling Haaland’s shirt and Haaland is just smiling in his face, a big wide gap-toothed smile – it’s quite funny to be honest!”Haaland laughed at Burn after their interaction
