Denver Police said an officer fired a round a man brandishing a knife inside the Whole Foods located at 17th and Wewatta streets.DENVER — A police officer fired a shot at a man wielding a knife inside a downtown Denver grocery store Wednesday evening. No one was hit by the round fired.said officers were called at 6:20 p.m. to the Whole Foods located at 17th and Wewatta streets on a report of someone brandishing a knife.
In that earlier shooting, police said the man had threatened people with a gun near 45th Avenue and St. Paul Street. During a briefing Wednesday afternoon, Chief Ron Thomas said the gun the man had was an Airsoft gun that looked like a real gun.
