When it launches this November, Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be the biggest game release of all time. No pressure, Rockstar. After all, it has been over a decade since the last installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, Grand Theft Auto V, was released, and since then, fans have been eagerly anticipating what Rockstar will be able to achieve with 2026's powerful technology.
Despite two delays under its belt so far, GTA VI is on track to launch on 19 November, so what can we really expect from perhaps the greatest video game of all time? GTA 6 Fans Are Obsessing Over A Preview Of A Newly Leaked Feature Since it was first announced to be in development back in 2022, Grand Theft Auto VI has welcomed two official trailers. One in December 2023, and the second in May 2025, but other than these brief glimpses courtesy of Rockstar, information surrounding the game has been scarce to say the least. However, thanks to multiple leaks , we have got a glimpse at how Grand Theft Auto VI is coming along, and a recent discovery has got fans excited over the level of detail we may get to see later this year. We all know that Rockstar has an eye for detail and a post shared over on the videotechuk_ Twitter account showed us just how much the studio is going to be pushing the boundaries of its technology in Grand Theft Auto VI. In a discovery by videotechuk_, they found that a Graphics Programmer position for Rockstar Games would need to take the lead"on the next generation procedural breakable glass system for vehicle and props"."GTAVI could feature a procedural breakable glass system for vehicles and props according to a Rockstar developer on LinkedIn," the Twitter user explained."Basically, when glass shatters, it won't have a pre-baked animation like GTAV, and is generated in real time." GTA 6 Trailer 3 Can't Come Soon Enough However, that is not all, as a further post by videotechuk_ shows us just how good that real-time glass-breaking can look, and that is all thanks to Grand Theft Auto VI's first official trailer from back in 2023. In this still, we can see the result of a car chase, with an overturned car surrounded by broken and littered glass. Of course, we cannot yet see it in action, but if Rockstar is at the helm, there is no denying that the results will be flawless and based on real-life physics. Up until now, the two official trailers for Grand Theft Auto VI have only featured snippets of gameplay, and so fans are hoping that the third trailer, whenever that may be, will be solely dedicated to gameplay, allowing us to see beyond cutscenes. However, with Rockstar showing no signs of releasing that highly anticipated trailer, it may still be a while until we see the results of its efforts.
