The Grove fire was sparked Wednesday by lightning and burned more than 860 acres of brush before it was put out
Firefighters have fully contained a 863-acre fire that broke out in rural northeastern San Diego County four days ago, sparked by lightning, a fire official said Sunday.
“Crews are focusing on mop up and patrol. Acreage is the same, with minimal activity. There is no active flame,” said Cal Fire Capt. Tom Piranio. All evacuation notices were lifted, Piranio said.
