Curly mustard greens are being recalled after they were found to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, bacteria that can cause serious and sometimes fatal illness, according to an announcement by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday.Baker Farms, based in Georgia, is voluntarily recalling bags of their Curly Mustard, sold in 16oz plastic bags and with the best-by date November 21, 2024.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with Baker Farms' Curly Mustard, as of the FDA's announcement on Monday, and the greens are now out of date, but consumers are nevertheless urged not to consume any recalled curly mustard greens they may still have in their fridges or freezers.These curly mustard greens were packaged in clear plastic bags on November 4 and distributed from November 5 to November 9.The curly mustard was distributed to nine southeastern U.S.
