Almost 80,000 pounds of butter sold at warehouse chain Costco is being recalled due to an undeclared allergen.

In October, the Food and Drug Administration issued a recall on 79,200 Kirkland Signature butter from Continental Dairy Facilities Southwest LLC due to an undeclared allergen. Theto indicate the product could cause “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.”
The FDA said salted and unsalted Kirkland Signature Sweet Cream Butter list cream as an ingredient but may not include a “Contains Milk” allergy statement on the packaging.Kirkland Signature Unsalted Sweet Cream Butter, 16 oz. four 4 oz. sticks, UPC 96619-38496The products come with a “best buy” date between Feb. 22, 2025 - March 29, 2025.
If you have bought Kirkland Signature butter on or before Oct. 11 and it matches the recall information and you have a sensitivity or allergy to milk, you should dispose of it or return to Costco for a refund.
