The restaurant led by top chef Tom Barnes has already received a number of glowing reviews since opening earlier this year
The latest round of additions to the Michelin Guide have been announced - and a Greater Manchester restaurant has made the cut. The eatery has been added to the August edition of the Michelin Inspectors' Favourite New Restaurants .
The restaurant serves 12 course or 16 course tasting menus for £120 or £165 in the evenings, or there is also a £50 lunch option. Each is guided by seasonality, locality and the best possible produce, and Tom and the team work closely with small-scale suppliers including Cinderwood Market Garden and Lake District Farmers to bring the best produce to people’s plates.
Designed by London-based studio Blacksheep, interiors at Skof draw on a number of influences. While the historic building provides the industrial backdrop, the room, which is bathed in natural light, also references the chef’s Cumbrian upbringing.
