Dennis Rimmer is unhappy with the fitting of his new IKEA kitchen
A grandad was furious with what he saw when he returned home from holiday. Dennis Rimmer, 75, ordered a new kitchen from IKEA for his Hunts Cross home in April. He told the ECHO that he spent around £6,500 on the kitchen and agreed to have an IKEA partner to install it. He said he was told by that fitter that work would begin on June 10.
I feel pretty naffed off.' Dennis says that wires and pipes are exposed at the base of units and he is unhappy with the way they have been fitted against the walls. He wants IKEA to appoint a different fitter to come back and finish the job. The Swedish furniture firm said it was sorry that he was unhappy with the job and said it would be rectified. The 75-year-old added: 'The standard of the work is absolutely diabolical.
