In a 47-53 vote, Senate Republicans blocked a Democratic-backed war powers resolution that would prevent President Donald Trump from continuing the military campaign against Iran. Congress left Washington for a two-week Easter break with the Department of Homeland Security still without full funding, raising questions about whether voters will punish lawmakers in November for the stalemate.TSA officers were expected to start getting back pay on Monday, but the rest of DHS remained shut down. They want to talk about, you know, immigration policies. We can talk about that, but why do you got to hold the rest of DHS hostage to do that?
