Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Tuesday addressed growing concerns over recent reports of an immigrant influx in Clark County .
"That obviously represents a massive increase based upon percentage of the population of Springfield," he said. "That is unprecedented over such a short period of time." The governor added that many of the immigrants don't speak English, don't know the local laws and haven't received much healthcare in their lives. They've sought to escape the violence plaguing Haiti since its president, Jovenel Moïse, was assassinated in 2021, the island country now being overtaken by gangs.a minimum of $2.5 million to help expand primary healthcare.
