Goring is now a typhoon after it became stronger quickly on Friday night, the weather bureau PAGASA has said.
According to its tropical cyclone bulletin released at past 11 p.m., the northeastern portion of Cagayan is under Signal No. 2 with winds ranging from 62 kph to 88 kph.the eastern portion of mainland Cagayan ,These areas are expected to experience winds of between 39 kph to 61 kph.
Goring is packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center, gustiness of up to 150 kph, and central pressure of 980 hPa. The center of the eye of Goring was estimated based on all available data, including those from Aparri Weather Radar, at 205 km East of Calayan, Cagayan.
