Golf legend Tom Watson called out United States fans for the way they treated the European team during the Ryder Cup.

You can add golf legend Tom Watson to the list of people who feel that U.S. fans had unacceptable behavior towards Team Europe throughout the Ryder Cup. Watson, who won eight majors during his incredible career, took to X on Monday to express his disappointment in United States fans.By most accounts, United States fans went overboard during Ryder Cup action. Team Europe star Rory McIlroy had multiple altercations with fans throughout the weekend and videos were posted online of him responding to mean-spirited and offensive remarks. After Team Europe clinched the Ryder Cup, McIlroy spoke with the media about the way he and his teammates were treated during the Ryder Cup.. “I think golf should be held to a higher standard than what was seen out there this week. Golf has the ability to unite people. Golf teaches you very good life lessons. It teaches you etiquette; it teaches you how to play by the rules. It teaches you how to respect people.
