It's the first bank holiday of May today
The early May bank holiday has finally arrived for the UK - and with it, the promise of summer just around the corner.But with another bank holiday on the way next week, can we expect an improvement in the weather in the coming days? Here is what you need to know. Today marks the first bank holiday of the month and will thankfully see a dry start.As well as clouds in the afternoon, a few showers may develop from the west. with rain likely to fall between the hours of 1pm and 7pm.
This evening will see cloud return, thickening from 2pm onwards. However the BBC says that "any showers should clear.
