From Glasgow Green to Crow Road and the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, there's several spots to soak up the action from
There are a number of events taking place in Glasgow this month over the course of the next two weeks in cycling's biggest event.
There will be signs and staff on hand to help you and direct you where you need to go as there are certain places that you will need to stand when watching certain events such as the track cycling.The Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome has the usual circular grand stand seating around the track. Seating is allocated so check your ticket. The venue warns that they are temperature controlled to 28–30 degrees centigrade, reminding people to stay hydrated.
Glasgow Green is a short distance from the city centre with people able to see others compete with spectator spots allocated as well as places to fill up your water and take a toilet break. There is also a quiet space should you need it and an accessible platform for those to watch who need to use a wheelchair.
Located at 137 Archerhill Roadd, the world’s very best BMX riders will fight for every inch of the 5-metre-wide track as they race, jump and wrestle their bikes along 400 metres from the start gate to the finish line.
