There are many ways Fairbanks shows its generosity, and one of these is by cycling for a cause.

The NewsCenter 11 Weekend Team presents a report of local and national news events, along with the latest weather forecast and updates from the world of sports.FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Over a hundred cyclists turned out for the Salty’s Gives Back fundraiser on Saturday, to further show Fairbanks has a heart of gold.

Forty teams of three each signed up to ride the bikes throughout the fundraiser as the Pwerhouse coaches - as well as a special guest coach - took turns leading the crowd. Over the past few years the fundraiser has raised an estimated half a million dollars for charity. In addition to the main recipient, many individual cycling teams chose to raise money for their own favorite local causes.
