) - The Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama officially kick off the 2025 Girl Scout Cookie Season with a “cookie drive-through” on Friday. The Girl Scout Cookie program is the nation’s largest girl-led business. It’s also the leading financial literacy program for girls. Through selling cookies, girls learn essential skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
In addition, the Girl Scout Cookie Program powers Take-Action Projects that benefit the local community, girl programs - which include science, technology, engineering, and math activities, and educational trips that the troops take together. There are nine varieties of cookies: Adventurefuls, Do-si-dos, Girl Scout S’mores Lemon-Ups, Samoas, Tagalongs, Thin Mints, Trefoils, Toffee-tastic .
