Giants co-owner John Mara wants to keep Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen for 2025. But will he actually do it?

The Giants have mostly stunk since their latest Super Bowl championship, after the 2011 season. If they lose Monday night in Pittsburgh, they’ll be 2-6. And that’ll be the seventh time in eight seasons they have two wins or fewer at the eight-game mark. They just got destroyed 28-3 at home by Saquon Barkley and the Eagles, as Giants fans booed Mara’s team yet again. Then Bill Belichick mocked and ripped Schoen on ESPN.
“It’s very difficult , because the last 10 or 12 years have not been very good for our fans,” Mara said. “And that makes it particularly difficult. But you’ve got to do the right thing, and we’re committed to doing that — and committed to seeing this process through.” So Mara was quick to turf McAdoo and Shurmur . Mara wanted to be decisive with the Shurmur firing — since it was clear Shurmur wasn’t the answer — after showing too much patience with Coughlin, Reese, and Manning.rookie head coach, needed to give Judge time to develop, and needed to help him more than he helped McAdoo. Not guiding McAdoo enough was a mistake, Mara realized later.
