The R-rated drama/horror/romance 'Bones and All,' will be shown for free at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Gateway Film Center. Movie passes are required.
Film Columbus has secured a free screening of the new film “Bones and All” starring Timothée Chalamet. Scenes from the Ohio-set movie will look familiar to viewers, as several were shot in and around Columbus.
The advance screening will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at Gateway Film Center, 1550 N. High St. The film will open in Columbus-area theaters on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Billed as a drama/horror/romance, “Bones and All” has won multiple awards from prestigious festivals including the Venice Film Festival. The film is rated R for strong, bloody and disturbing violent content, language throughout, some sexual content and brief graphic nudity.
Distributor United Artists Releasing describes the Reagan-era period piece as “a story of first love between Maren , a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, and Lee , an intense and disenfranchised drifter … all roads lead back to their terrifying pasts and to a final stand that will determine whether their love can survive their otherness.”
The Columbus screening of “Bones and All” also will include a reception at 3:30 p.m. with free prizes such as movie passes, posters, and Film Columbus swag.
