A German man who police say travelled to East Donegal Township, Lancaster County, to have sex with a 15-year-old girl was charged with 16 crimes, including six felony charges.
Erik Weidling, now 21, was 20 when he flew from his home in Northwest Germany in February to meet his “online girlfriend,” who he knew was 15, an affidavit written by police says. He had been communicating with her online, and knew her school schedule and her mother’s work schedule. Weidling was staying at the Blue Note Hotel in Marietta and visited the girl’s home after her mother went to work, police said. He told police he had sex with the girl on four different occasions from February 29 through March 8.Explosion at central Pa. manufacturing facility sends 3 to hospital
