An impressive new Mad Max: Fury Road cosplay brings Furiosa to life with an incredible amount of detail (complete with the metal prosthetic arm).

Charlize Theron's Imperator Furiosa is brought to life with incredible detail in a jaw-dropping Mad Max: Fury Road cosplay. Released in 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road is director George Miller's long-awaited return to the franchise after 1985's Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. The film sees Tom Hardy take on the role of Max, but it's Theron's Furiosa who really steals the show, with the character set to return in a prequel film next year.

Now, while updates on the Furiosa prequel remain hard to come by, a recent Mad Max: Fury Road cosplay from Annie Graves on Instagram brings the character to life to stunning effect. The cosplay, which is also shared from a new angle by Team Villain 4life, sees a film-accurate costume recreated down to every last detail, including even the character's metal prosthetic arm.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT What's Next For Furiosa? The Mad Max: Fury Road ending sees Furiosa narrowly escape death, killing Immortan Joe and bringing peace to the Citadel. The movie doesn't provide too many hints about what is next for the character, but her backstory is set to be further fleshed out in Furiosa. The prequel film will see actor Anya Taylor-Joy take on the title role with Chris Hemsworth set to play the villain.

The synopsis for the film teases that Furious will be “snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and fall into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus” before she then attempts to escape and make her way home. Hemsworth is confirmed to be playing Dementus, but there has been speculation online that the villain will ultimately become Immortan Joe.

While it has been confirmed that Furiosa is not a road movie like Mad Max: Fury Road, Taylor-Joy has teased that filming involved getting "the dirtiest and the bloodiest [she] has ever been". The prequel, then, will certainly not be skimping out on action scenes involving its title character.
