The carrier, which is consistently ranked among the worst by U.S. travelers, is in the midst of a major expansion at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
announced a series of changes Friday designed to improve its dismal customer service ranking with travelers, including more transparent pricing, the elimination of change fees for most fares and the reinstatement of phone support.
Frontier CEO Barry Biffle said the carrier was entering a “new era” – “one with transparency in our prices, no change fees and the lowest total price.”* More transparent pricing, including new basic, economy, premium and business-level fare classes. All fare classes except basic include an advanced seat assignment, a carry-on bag and no fees for changes or cancellations. Previously, Frontier charged as much as $99 to change a flight.
* Live phone support, available for travelers within 24 hours of their flight. In addition, a new callback service will be available for other customers. The airline eliminated its customer service phone number in late 2022.The airline’s growth, however, is sometimes marred by its poor marks from travelers, for everything from delayed and canceled flights to lack of phone support when something goes wrong.
