From money and medical to water and fire safety, 2-day fest makes sure you’re Jax Ready

You can learn all about hands-on CPR and water safety and so much more this Friday and Saturday at Jax Ready Fest.

Dr. Patricia Barrozo, a nurse practitioner who was one of those bystanders, said you never know when you’ll need to perform CPR. “If you can respond quickly, the chance of survival for bystander CPR outside of the hospital, you can increase the chance of survival two to three times,” Barrozo said.The two-day event at the Prime Osborn Convention Center is all about learning how to stay safe in all kinds of emergencies -- from fire to storms to financial crisis. There will even be car-seat safety checks.Everything is free and very interactive.
