The recall was triggered after a customer alerted Frito-Lay to the presence of undeclared milk.The recall specifically targets 13 oz. bags of Lay's Classic Potato Chips with a 'guaranteed fresh' date of February 11 and either a manufacturing code of '6462307xx' or '6463307xx'. These bags were distributed to retail stores and online retailers in Oregon and Washington as early as November 3. Notably, this recall does not encompass any other Lay's products, flavors, sizes, or variety packs.The FDA emphasizes the potential for serious allergic reactions, including hives, cramps, dizziness, swollen vocal cords, and even unconsciousness, in individuals with milk allergies or sensitivities who consume the recalled product. Frito-Lay states that no allergic reactions related to this recall have been reported thus far.
