The Council for Geoscience (CGS) has confirmed that an earthquake was felt in the Free State on Thursday, about 60km south of Bloemfontein. 🌪 naturaldisaster
In November last year, the CGS confirmed two earthquakes in KwaZulu-Natal.
This earthquake’s epicentre was located approximately 40km north-east of Greytown and 30km east of Tugela Ferry in KZN. Singh explained that an earthquake occurs when there is a release of accumulated stress and strain in a region.
