Christian campaigner and state MP Fred Nile has collapsed outside Channel 10’s studios while protesting against The Project's recent joke about Jesus

An ambulance was called to Saunders Street in Pyrmont on Saturday morning, where paramedics treated a heat-related illness. “I give you my personal thanks but also the thanks of Jesus Christ, who is very proud of each one of you here today,” said Nile, who in his 41-year career has campaigned against same-sex marriage, abortion and the availability of halal food products in Australian stores. “We must stand and show our politicians that we uphold our lord Jesus Christ in this nation,” she said. “My message to the [LGBTQ community] is we love them, and we’re not here to condemn you, we’re not here to judge you. We’re here because we’re standing in the gap and praying for your soul.”last Friday in opposition to Kaye’s comments.
